Emma Domb White Dress with Chiffon overlay circa 1960s American dress designer Emma Domb. Emma Domb was a California dressmaking company with headquarters in San Fransisco. The company was actively producing dresses & gowns from 1939 through the 1970s. Domb Manufacturing Company was owned by Emma Domb & Lorraine Domb Steinberg. They specialized in wedding, party, prom, & cocktail dresses. They were also known for fancy-date ensembles. A beautiful example of a simple wedding dress of the 1960s. The underslip appears to be acetate or taffeta; the chiffon overlay features delicate cap sleeves; a high collar; accents on the sleeves; bodice; & base of skirt – beautiful pin tucks. The dress zips up the back. It is free from any stains but there is a small pull on the front chiffon; please see the picture.
