Advertised in McCall’s magazine in 1962, the ‘Galaxy’ brooch/pendant features four multi-colored ceramic stones tipped with sparkling aurora borealis (AB) crystals, that sit amidst four gold-colored open-work metal quadrants that are decorated with a central faux pearl & a myriad of AB stones, & that lead the eye to a large raised faux pearl at the center of the brooch/pendant. The bright & shiny gold-plated back includes a secure pin as well as a hook so that the piece can be attached to a chain & worn as a pendant. Elegant, eye-catching, & versatile, it will make a great addition to any jewelry collection. The Galaxy brooch pin is shown on page 46 of ‘Sarah Coventry Jewelry’ by Monica & Patricia Clements, & also page 51 of ‘Identifying Sarah Coventry Jewelry’ by Sandra Sturdivant & Shirley Crabtree.
