Wedding Pair of Hand Made Antique Victorian 14K Rose Gold & 14K Yellow Gold Hinge Cuff Oval Bangle Bracelets with tracery Taille D’Epargne Black Enamel. This pair has the original box, which has yellow lettering on the inside top of the box which is difficult to read, but includes the name of Black, Starr & Frost (America’s first jewelers) & Ball, Black & Co., along with some other words which are difficult to decipher. Each of these bangle bracelets has a very functional hidden box clasp closure with a safety chain. The raised, front parts of each buckle is in 14K yellow gold, while the remainder of each oval cuff is in 14K rose gold. The entire cuffs have lovely, mirrored, detailed Taille D’Epargne black enamel designs. Victorian – circa 1960s Not Marked – as was common at the time: (tested 14K) Materials: 14K Rose Gold, 14K Yellow Gold, Black Enamel Approximate Size Measurements: The inner circumference of each bangle cuff measures approximately 6+1/8″. (Therefore, the circumference of your wrist must be less than 6″ in circumference in order to wear these bangles. Get out your tape measure & put it around the circumference of your wrist. Seriously.) The width of each bangle remains constant at approximately 3/4″, while the depth of each bangle remains constant at approximately 1/8″. Weight: 75.1 grams total for the pair Good Antique Condition – As expected, there are scratches in the 14K gold from age & gentle wear. Each of these cuff bracelets shows the loss of missing it’s buckle prong (in the front center). Therefore, each of these cuff bracelet have half of the V shape buckle frame which can move away from the top buckle area (as can be seen in the last two pictures). There is some tarnish on the gold, which could be professionally cleaned. As the pictures show, there is some loss of the black enamel – as the pictures show the bracelets side by side, this loss is easier to discern. One of the safety chains has a different (replaced) O link in the center of the safety chain. The silk on the inside bottom of the box is shredded, & one of the bracelet holders is no longer attached to the inner bottom of the box (though it is still present). The yellow writing on the inside top of the box is extremely difficult to decipher – & unfortunately, we cannot read the entire writing. The pictures are enlarged to view the details.
