This luxurious silk satin shawl is in many shades of a quiet blue, honey gold & touches of green. It is a long rectangle, 14 by 72 inches. It is long enough to wrap around the neck with a generous ‘drop’. It is a versatile accessory that you can pair with many colors & style in many ways, & it’s perfect for weddings, special occasions, business & informal wear. These floral motifs are brushed using a physical resist with emphasis on color placement & vibrancy with vivid & deep dyes. I incorporate numerous colors for more wardrobe variety. My French dyes are rich & have a depth of color like no other…highly concentrated, & therefore vivid & intense. They require a steaming process to permanently set the dyes. The scarf is made from silk satin, which is twice the weight of habotai or China silk. This 12 mm fabric allows the dyes to be better absorbed for a richer color & a luxurious feel. Silk charmeuse has a subtle shine & is cool in the summer & toasty in the winter. Silk is an easy to care for fabric that is so luxurious. Hand wash in warm water with mild soap or shampoo, rinse, & let dry on a hanger. I use an iron (medium to high setting) with a light mist of water to remove wrinkles. At home, I hang my own scarves on hangers. When traveling I roll them in a tube-like fashion…never a wrinkle. I mail my 14 x 72-inch scarves rolled in a plastic tube tied on both ends, then sent in a rectangular box to prevent wrinkles. Need your scarf gift wrapped?
