Description

Collectible & rare. Domed crystal bridle rosettes were a wonderful feature of the Victorian/Edwardian age. They were necessary horse decorations for any rider back in the day. This rosette may have been converted to a brooch or it may have been designed as such originally. Nice colors, only slightly faded. Some wear on the back, but is in good antique condition. The brooch may be a bit older than the Edwardian era. The gentleman’s attire has a Victorian look but it also has an old style safety catch clasp. The backing is a bronze disc. The construction of this pin is die cut & if you tip the brooch slightly the flecks of metal do show up in the light while looking through the crystal dome from the side. This gentleman on a chestnut horse is sure to please any collector of equestrian memorabilia. Very nice condition. Exceptional find. 1900s-1920 1 3/4″ diameter 37.5 grams wt Attention: All items are listed to the best of our observation, but they are pre-owned & pre-loved (meaning we may have missed something minor and/or be in need of light cleaning.)
