A very sweet & dainty antique Victorian tie pin of European origin, from the end of the 19th century or the late Victorian period. The faux turquoise cabochon in the center is a rich celestial blue, bordered by twelve very sparkly crystal paste stones. The center cluster sits on top of a ultra fine gold crown, which gives a nice final touch. A chic stick pin brooch to wear with your clothes. Simple & elegant design for any occasion. Suitable for party, wedding, bridal, prom, ceremony etc…or even just to add some special elements to your daily outfit. Size – approx. length 65 mm [2.5″], head piece diameter 12 x 10 mm [0.5 x 0,4″]. Turquoise stone is measuring 7 x 4 mm. Weight is 2.3 grams. Pin is 14 karat gold (no hallmark). Head piece preserved & in excellent condition, but the pin stem is a little misshapen. The pin has the original patina, which deliberately wasn’t polished or otherwise cleaned. That is also why a dark edge can be seen when attaching the pen to the ‘medal’. This isn’t tin solder but patina of the original gold solder.
