Edwardian 10K diamond & pearl lavalier. The base of the lavaliere is shaped in the form of a diamond, while a filigree design surrounds the diamond plus the bar above. The Duchesse de la Valliere, a mistress of King Louis XIV, made the design popular in the 1600s. I have added an 18″ 14K gold filled flat cable chain. Materials – 10K gold, diamond & freshwater pearls. Hallmarks – None. Condition – Very good antique condition. Measurements – Lavaliere pendant is 1 1/2″ long, including the bail & 5/8″ at its widest point. Chain is 18″ long. .
