Hot fix iron on applique Two tone striped embellishment – for Garments & any kind of crafts, DIY projects. Choose from 1, 2, or 5 yards length of trim. 1 Yard=91cm approx. Width: 8mm. This is a hot fix item. Hotfix – when ironed it will adhere & apply to the item, see full instructions below. It can also be sewn or glued on. Very versatile, can be used to apply to wedding sash, waist & neckline, cuffs, shoes, bags, belts or anywhere you choose! How to hot fix: Set iron to “dry” not steam setting.Pre-heat to cotton setting (or if unsure of your fabric, one or two settings lower). Position your patch as desired & cover with the pressing cloth.Place the backing underneath between your garment or project & the iron board. The backing board helps reflect heat back to the patch & garment rather than drawing heat into the ironing board cover speeding up the process & ensuring a flat, secure bond. From the front of the patch, press the iron flat in an up & down, vertical motion (do not move back/forth/around) for 25 to 40 seconds to tack the patch in place using the center part of your iron. Turn inside out or upside down (if possible) & still using the pressing cloth, repeat from reverse side for 30 to 45 seconds. ALLOW the patch & your item to cool, completely. Test an edge of the patch with your fingernail to ensure it is secure. If not, repeat increasing the amount of time 10% – 20% each time taking care to ensure the patch & fabric are protected. Remember, you can always revert to a bit of glue or hand sewing to keep your patch secure.
