This is a “Tie On” or “Clip n Clamp” horse lead rope/or lunge line! The Tie On lead is preferred by many Natural Horsemanship clinicians such as Buck Brannaman! The Clip n Clamp style with uses a light weight metal clamp & silver nickel trigger bull snap to attach it to a rope or nylon halter. It is popular with many trainers. This USA made double braided polyester yacht rope, which is a rope over a separate inner braid rope.. also known as yacht braid. This style was originally used for mooring lines for watercraft, & is strong, (7600 # breaking strength for 1/2″ diameter rope, & the 9/16″ rope has a breaking strength 0f 9600#), UV, stretch, & abrasion resistant, has a great, lively heavier, flexible feel, & stays soft on your hands! An added benefit to the “tie on” style is that you can often use the rope as a loop mecate when used with slobber straps. It has melted & hand blunted edges, & has a latigo leather popper tied with bleeding heart knots on the tail end. Available in 5 lengths. The last photo shows a popular way to attach the Tie On lead to a rope halter. with no hardware to break, or distract a learning horse with weight, or noise.. choose your color!
