This item has a lovely coat or patina that took over 130 years to form. Many people appreciate their antique jewelry with this lovely coating (myself included); however, some prefer a shinier piece. Therefore, we never polish antique jewelry as it is an individual decision. Currently, the item is dull with patina. It will arrive this way.
