I Dream of Brooches presents this stunning sea shell brooch by MARESCO. This piece is exquisite in design & quality. Similar in appearance to a Florida Auger shell, this large long pin depicts a dimensional figural shell with incredible textured detail & rich Italian-style gold tone gilt appearance. This piece is lined with just the right amount of clear crystal pave, The underside in signed MARESCO, preceded by the copyright symbol. Probably made in the 1980s, this brooch is in great vintage condition with hardly a trace of wear & a fully functioning rollover clasp. The quality is on par with couture designers of that period. This runway-worthy vintage treasure measures about 3 x 7/8 inches, & weighs approximately 18 grams. Gorgeous for a beach wedding, cocktail party, dinner, luncheon, etc. Admirable addition for the collector. The Maresco Collection of fine fashion jewelry was sold during the 1970s & 1980s.
