On offer is this lovely collectible sprung tie clip / bar. It’s in good condition overall – extensive rubbing to the once gilded finish particularly over the reverse side (please refer to images); light tarnishing over the remaining gilding as well as light scuffs & scratches commensurate with age but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the piece. It’s of traditional form, beautifully decorated with a wreath border & part-enameled number “4” to the center – the rich red enamel contrasts with the silver ever so well & stands out on display. The reverse side is plain & retains the original sprung clip which functions as it should still. Fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1969 & the maker Fattorini & Sons. It measures a charming 44mm in total length, weighs 8g including the enameling & is ready to be collected & enjoyed once again! The postage quote is for a Royal Mail tracked & insured service.
